b) The management of ‘Suraksha’ Hospital has decided to automate their administration
functioning. There are several doctors working in the hospital. The doctor’s name, contact
numbers and specialization are recorded. Doctor’s charges are computed according to the
charge slips they submit. When a patient is admitted to the hospital, his particulars along
with the reason for admission is to be recorded. If it is an accident case, additional
information such as police FIR number and accident description should be recorded.
Patients are admitted into rooms, if needed. Rooms are given categories and the daily
charges. There are various labs in the hospital where tests are conducted on the patients.
Each test has a fixed charge.
Draw an Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) for the hospital system.
