Let's Encrypt provide free SSL certificate. Mostly Hosting service provider automatically install Let's Encrypt SSL but some hosting provider like Godaddy doesn't support Let's Encrypt by default.
This post will help you to install Let's Encrypt SSL into Godaddy Linux share hosting. Let's Encrypt Provide SSL for 3 months only at a time . You will have to install new certificate after every 3 motnh.
Follow the steps given below or Watch the video for step by step install SSL .
- Many website provide Let's Encrypt SSL . I am using two website
1. https://punchsalad.com/
2.https://thepowerhost.in/free-ssl/ - Enter Domain name like . example.com,www.example.com
- You will get two files upload them by creating .well-known/acme-challenge Make ensure hidden files are showing in your Cpanel because file name start with . are hidden.
- Search on google how to show hidden file in Cpanel and show hidden file
- Ones files got upload in given folder then click to verify domain.
- if every thing is ok then you will get the certificate in next page.
- It's time to install certiifcate into cpanel
- Search SSL in search box and goto SSL
- Upload private key by clicking upload or generate private key. if you have uploaded private key previousely, in case of renew certificate after 3 month. Then delete the previous private key . You can find private key by searching your domain name.
- Search again SSL in Capnel and select SSL/TLC and click Generate, View ,Upload, Delete certificate
- Delete previous certificate in care of renewal or scroll down copy paste certificate in certificare box created in Starting .
- Search SSL again in Cpanel and select SSL/TLS and click the Manage SSL Sites
- Scroll down at the end and select you domain in drop down list
- After select domain click Autofill by domain button and click Install
